These terms are between ZEDGER ("we", "us") and the person accepting them, on their own behalf and on behalf of the institution they represent ("you"). By ticking the box and clicking "Agree and open demo", you accept these terms.
We give you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable right to access and use the ZEDGER demo only to evaluate whether your institution wants to use ZEDGER. Your demo sandbox resets automatically 60 days after it is created, and we may end, reset or change the demo at any time.
You will not, and will not help anyone else to: (a) copy, download, save, reproduce or distribute the demo's source code, files, interface, design, graphics, texts or data, except as strictly needed to view it in your browser; (b) reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble the demo, except to the extent this right cannot be excluded under applicable law, including Decreto-Lei 252/94; (c) share the demo link with anyone outside your institution, or let anyone use the demo under your name; (d) use automated tools to scrape or capture the demo; (e) use the demo, or information obtained from it, to design, specify, build or commission a product that competes with ZEDGER; (f) remove or hide any copyright notice or watermark.
The demo and any non-public information we share with you (including features, roadmap, pricing, workflows and technical approach) are confidential. You will keep them confidential, use them only for the evaluation, and share them only with colleagues at your institution who need to be involved and who are bound by the same obligations. This lasts for 3 years after your access ends. It does not cover information that is public through no fault of yours, or that you already lawfully had.
ZEDGER and all related intellectual property belong to us. Nothing in these terms transfers any rights to you except the limited right in section 1. If you give us suggestions or feedback, we may use them freely without obligation to you.
The demo contains fictional data. Do not enter real personal data or confidential research data into the demo. The demo is provided "as is", without warranties, and may change or be unavailable at any time.
If you breach these terms we may end your access immediately. You acknowledge that a breach of sections 2 or 3 may cause us harm that money alone cannot fix, and that we may seek injunctive relief in addition to damages.
To manage demo access we record your name, work email and institution, the lab (from the demo link you used), the time you accepted these terms and the version you accepted, your IP address and browser information, and when you open the demo and whether you finish the guided tour. We use this only to manage access, enforce these terms and follow up on your evaluation (legal basis: these terms and our legitimate interest in managing access to the demo). It is stored with our hosting and email providers, who process it on our behalf, and kept for up to 24 months. You can ask us to access, correct or delete it, or object to its use, by writing to bruno.zedger@gmail.com. You can also complain to the Portuguese data protection authority (CNPD).
These terms are governed by Portuguese law.
